‘The Collection’ was my favorite horror movie for 2012, with ‘Cabin in the Woods’ coming in at a very close second. But I’m a sucker for horror movies…even the one’s that truly suck! :)

If you can consider it a 2012 film (it technically hit the festival circuits late 2011), I’d have to go with “Dear God No!” Great throwback biker/exploitation flick that doesn’t camp it up but delivers pure savagery; there’s some really putrid moments in here, but the low-budget filmmaking is never below adequate and often in the “very good” range with some cool techniques, and there are actually some terrifying almost supernatural moments in it.

Even though it didn’t get a distributed Blu-ray release, thankfully the director sells BD-Rs of the flick on eBay, and the transfer’s really solid.
