Why the original Halloween, of course! Literally hundreds of sequels, remakes and rip-offs ensued due to its huge success. Sadly, most forgot the most important elements…great films require such things as delicately applied tone and atmosphere. These can only be provided by a talented craftsman in the director’s chair. A Carpenter, if you will.
