GONIN (1995)
After the collapse of Japan's economy, nightclub owner Bandai (Koichi Sato) finds himself deep in debt with the local Yakuza. With no way of paying his loans, he recruits four other down-on-their-luck types to rob the Yakuza of 100 million yen. Despite their boldness, things don't go quite according to plan as the Yakuza hire a couple of killers (including Takeshi 'Beat' Kitano) to track down "The Five" and their families for some serious payback.

GONIN 2 (1996)
Toyama (Ken Ogata), loving husband and all-around good guy, has accrued some serious gambling debts. He and his wife are ambushed by Yakuza hungry for payback. Unable to pay his debts, the Yakuza take payment in the form of his wife, raping her mercilessly. When she ends up committing suicide, Toyama makes a sword and heads out for revenge. On his way, he runs into a gang of five female thieves who have stolen a ring intended for Toyama's wife. Will he join forces with "The Five" or will he kill them, too?
